Our first sensibility is touch. Sculpture is made to be touched (really!)
The tactile experience is part of the visceral response we have with form. With sculpture, we use our bodies to look at it, walk around it, bend towards it, walk away from it. Then the mind kicks in and we are left wondering “how was that made?”
" Creating sculpture requires patience, diligence and an intuition for the material used. Skill comes with time but sculpture is art medium for anyone who seriously wants to give it a go."
